# Phone numbers for resellers

> Private numbers your customers can rent by the hour or the year

Rent United States numbers that receive SMS from any sender. Every message reaches your dashboard, the API and your webhook, and your customer only ever sees your brand.

## What you get

- **Rentals from 12 hours to a year.** Six durations: 12 hours, 1, 7, 30, 180 and 365 days. Your customer picks how long they need the number.
- **Messages wherever you want them.** Read every SMS in the dashboard, list it from the API, or receive it the moment it lands on a signed webhook.
- **One price, whichever provider fills it.** An order tries the cheapest provider first and falls through to the next. The price you were shown is the price you pay.
- **Renew or cancel for a refund.** Extend a rental at any time, or set it to renew itself. A number that has received no messages can be cancelled for a full refund.
- **Charged only for what is delivered.** If only part of a multi-number order can be filled, your wallet is charged for the part that was.
- **Sold at your price.** Each order is recorded as a sale to your customer, at the price you set for them, ready to invoice.

## How a sale goes

1. **Choose a duration.** See your wholesale price for each duration before you commit.
2. **Order for a customer.** From the dashboard, or one POST request with an idempotency key, safe to retry.
3. **Receive their messages.** Messages arrive in the dashboard, the API and your webhook while the rental is active.

### Which countries are available?

United States numbers for now. The options endpoint lists exactly what your account can order.

### Can I choose the carrier?

No. We choose the carrier each number is ordered on, so you get one price however the order is filled.

### What happens if a renewal cannot be paid?

You receive a renewal-failed event and the number simply expires at the end of its rental.
